Getting Around

Welcome to the Vancouver Oxford & Cambridge Society

VOCS Diary Dates

VOCS is an unincorporated association of graduates of Oxford University and Cambridge University living in or nearby British Columbia. Membership is automatic and without charge. If you are a member unknown to us, please get in touch with us via the sign up page on this site. Currently we have about 1,100 known members.

VOCS has existed for at least eighty years. The society's principal event each year is our Boat Race Dinner which in 2011 was held on Saturday 16th April in the Great Hall at Green College, UBC. Information is available on this site about last year's dinner. We also hold other events during the year, so check the calendar on this site regularly.

VOCS is also dedicated to welcoming newly arrived graduates and providing "how to" information about going to the Universities for the next generation of B.C. members.

This web site exists to assist communication between members and further the other aims of the Society. We hope that it will be used by members who want to tell their stories, organize events or otherwise communicate together and with non-members. Finally, we hope that this site will assist in patching together the history of Oxbridge graduates in British Columbia and of VOCS in particular.
